Dat we ons geld terugkregen... Bij aankomst bleek onze booking niet goed doorgevoerd te zijn; dat lag óf bij Booking óf bij de aanbieder dat werd niet duidelijk. Er waren ook geen kamers meer beschikbaar voor onze periode, tenzij we twee verschillendede kamers op verschillende dagen wilden hebben. Maar wel voor meer dan het dubbele van de prijs die we notabene al betaald hadden! Heel erg vervelend! We moesten aan het eind van de dag op zoek naar een ander onderkomen. Probeer dat maar eens te vinden. Wat een deceptie!

This hotel holds a special place in my memory from its days as a family-operated gem, complete with incredibly warm staff and an acclaimed Michelin-starred restaurant. While the hotel's ownership may have changed, the guest rooms remain a significant highlight. The timeless, minimalist aesthetic conceived by renowned Dutch designer Marcel Wolterinck endures. The generous space and clean decor that defined these rooms are still very much intact, and they have been maintained in respectable condition, ensuring a comfortable and stylish stay. The hotel has transitioned to a remote-only management model, which presented significant challenges. Access is granted via a digital link that consistently failed to work, necessitating a call for remote assistance upon every entry. While the staff's response was always prompt, this recurring issue became a considerable source of stress. Furthermore, the property features a communal kitchen with inadequate ventilation. As a result, strong cooking odors from other guests permeated my room each evening, leaving my personal belongings smelling of food. For a business traveler, this was an untenable situation. The room's cleanliness also fell short of expectations; staff had to be called to remove a spiderweb, and face towels were missing on arrival, but being provided the following day. In summary, while the remote staff is commendably swift, the property suffers from the lack of an on-site owner to set and maintain consistent standards.
